Include briefly Contact in the subject, your iOS/iPadOS version, app version, and what happened. A redacted screenshot is helpful. Do not send passwords, signing keys, private address books, or a photo you do not want reviewed.

Availability

briefly Contact is in development for iPhone and iPad running iOS/iPadOS 27 or later. There is no public download or public TestFlight invitation linked on this site yet. We will add the verified download link when one is available.

Create and change a card

Create a card from Your cards, fill in the details you want to share, and save. Edit an existing card to replace the person, portrait, logo, labels, or contact information. Card style includes ten themes, three layouts, separate name and body fonts, sizes, colors, and portrait framing. Contact import asks you to confirm before replacing the person.

Photos and background removal

Choose a portrait with the system photo picker. Optional Remove background processes the selected photo locally using Apple Vision. For a group photo, select the intended person when offered. If no person is detected or processing fails, your current photo remains unchanged. Restore original recovers the saved source photo. This is person segmentation, not generative AI editing. Results vary; the feature cannot guarantee a clean cutout from every photo.

QR codes and sharing

Contact mode places vCard details directly in the QR code. The receiving camera or scanner decides whether to offer a contact-import action. If it does not, share the .vcf contact file using Share contact. Website mode opens your chosen HTTPS address. Shared contact files and card images contain the details you include; check them before sending.

Apple Wallet

The release candidate connects to wallet.brieflyos.com to create a signed pass. Requesting a new pass sends that card and current artwork to the displayed service after confirmation. Existing .pkpass files can also be imported through the system interface when supported. Physical iPhone installation and contact-scan testing remain part of development. Apple controls the final Wallet layout; the app preview is not a promise of an identical Wallet card. Editing a saved card does not automatically update a previously issued pass.

Saved data and privacy

Cards are stored locally and may be included in device backups. There is no briefly Contact account or automatic card sync between devices. If the app reports a damaged library, it preserves the original and offers recovery rather than silently overwriting it. Read Privacy Choices & Deletion before deleting local data.
